Busy weekend at Greenock Ocean Terminal
Published: 26 August 2010
Greenock Ocean Terminal’s busiest week of the season came to a climax with two vessels berthed alongside at the same time.
Friday evening saw The World arriving for her weekend stay in Greenock, giving the passengers plenty of opportunity to take in the sights and attractions of the surrounding areas.
The visit of The World didn’t hinder passengers from starting their holidays, as on Sunday morning, the Cruise and Maritime vessel Ocean Countess arrived for a full turnaround, easily docking alongside The World.
The facilities and space available at Greenock meant that passengers were able to move freely through the Terminal, either disembarking or embarking for the Ocean Countess, or passing through to visit the surrounding areas or returning to The World.
After a successful disembark and embarkation, the Ocean Countess departed on Sunday evening for a 4 day Islands Mini Cruise. The World then set sail the following morning to continue on her worldwide itinerary.
