Cruise Scotland representatives return from successful attendance at Cruise Shipping Miami

Positive feedback received at cruise industry's premier event

A delegation from Cruise Scotland recently returned from Cruise Shipping Miami, the cruise industry’s premier event which took place from 16 to 19 March, where they promoted Scotland as a first-class cruise destination to the cruise lines.

The marketing organisation invited cruise line executives heading to the event to join them on the Cruise Scotland stand 547 in Miami Beach to give their verdicts in a dram-versus-Tunnock’s tasting between two of Scotland’s famous international products – whisky and Tunnock’s caramel wafers! Both products generated a lot of interest with a number of very positive meetings taking place on our stand with executives from various cruise lines.

Victor Sandison, Chairman of Cruise Scotland, commented: “Cruise Scotland has been attending Cruise Shipping Miami for many years now as this provides an ideal opportunity to engage with key industry personnel who are involved in ship deployment, itinerary planning and shore excursions. Scotland has a world-class product with a multitude of attractions, quality facilities and services to offer to the cruise sector. This, supported by our marketing efforts, continue to deliver increased cruise passengers to Scotland year-on-year and make a major contribution to the Scottish economy.”
