Cruise Ship Meet and Greet Service goes to Tender

With 74 cruise ships now booked to call into Orkney this season, Orkney Islands Council has recognised the need to provide a bespoke Meet and Greet service for cruise ship passengers this season.
The Meet and Greet service should deliver the first and final lasting impressions of Orkney to cruise ship passengers and should make passengers who choose to visit the town instead of going on tour just as welcome and informed.
The Council is closely examining its approach to cruise and the infrastructure demands of the industry in order for the County to maintain and increase its competitive advantage over other Scottish ports. Orkney is still Scotland's most popular cruise ship destination.
