Cruise Scotland Membership Expands

Dundee becomes the latest port to join the marketing organisation

Cruise Scotland has welcomed the Port of Dundee as the latest member to join the national marketing organisation, increasing the membership roll to sixteen ports.

Representing ports and service companies throughout the country, the organisation is keen to increase its membership and profile in what is becoming an increasing competitive sector with abundant destinations from which to choose.

Cruise Scotland Chairman, Victor Sandison, said: "We are delighted that Dundee has joined us in our endeavours to develop and increase inbound cruise tourism in Scotland and we hope that our collective marketing efforts will help to influence growth in cruise ship visits to the port in the years ahead."

Nik Scott-Gray of Forth Ports commented “Scotland has so much to offer the Cruise Industry and we look forward to working together with Cruise Scotland’s founding port members and service companies to attract more cruise business to Scotland. We are keen to grow our cruise business at Dundee and see Cruise Scotland as a great platform to bring the port into our overall cruise marketing efforts”.

A delegation from Cruise Scotland will be participating later in the year at Seatrade Europe – Cruise & River Cruise Convention in Hamburg from 24 to 26 September.
