• Caithness Distillery Produces “World Whisky of the year 2012”

  Old Pulteney 21 Year Old Single Malt Whisky, which is distilled at the Pulteney Distillery in Wick, 30 minutes from the Port of Scrabster has been voted 2012 World Whisky of the Year by the prestigious "Jim Murray's Whisky Bible."  Full story

• Cruise season draws to an end at Greenock Ocean Terminal

  The 2011 cruise season at Greenock Ocean Terminal has almost come to an end, bringing to a conclusion the most successful year on record at the Terminal. In total there will be 35 cruise calls this year, with two remaining calls from the luxury cruise vessel Hebridean Princess still to come in November. Over 57,000 visitors will have passed through the terminal by the end of this year, which represents a 192% increase in passenger numbers since 2007.  Full story
